Presentation To D. Young

The New Zealand, Canterbury and Technical-Shirley hooker, D. Young, was honoured by his club at a function on Saturday evening. Young, who has been chosen to represent New Zealand with the Rugby team in South Africa, will, with the other five All Blacks now residing in Canterbury, leave Christchurch on Friday to assemble in Wellington. References to Young’s playing career and the high esteem in which he is held, were made by the club’s president (Mr W. D. Johnston), when he made a presentation to him.
