Paper Boycotts Cricket Tour
KARACHI, Anril 30.
Pakistan’s leading Englishlanguage newspaper, “Dawn,” today announced it would boycott the current South African cricket tour of England by not reporting it. The newspaper said it was doing this “in deference to the widespread sentiments of the people of Pakistan, who are watching with horror and resentment the South African whites’ continuing acts of deliberate brutality towards the unarmed coloured peoples to whom the country really belongs.”
