COMMERCIAL Markets Quiet But Firm At Close
Markets were quiet but firm on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. National Insurance sold at 41s, Is above the previous week’s price, confirming the price paid in Wellington on Wednesday. Reid Murray made a further gain to sell at 14s 2d and Woolworths (N.Z,) rights regained the higher price paid on Wednesday. 8.H.P., traded on Thursday at the lower prices of 745, 74s 6d and 74s 9d, were sold yesterday at 74s 6d. J. Wattie Canneries sold at 37s 7d, the higher price paid on Thursday. Donaghy’s Rope rights and Email sold at lower prices.
