SENIOR POSTS IN R.N.Z.A.F.
Several Changes Announced (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 28. Several changes in appointments for senior Royal New Zealand Air Force officers Were announced by R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters today. Most of the appointments become effective next month.
Group Captain K. W. Trigance, of Temuka, will succeed Group Captain A. P. Gainsford, of Rotorua, as commanding officer of the R.N.Z.A.F. Station. Wood-
bourne, near Blenheim. He has been Director of Postings and Personnel Services since June, 1956.
Group Captain Gainsford will take command of the R.N.Z.A.F. station. Whenuapai. after commanding Woodbourne for three years.
Group Captain A. B. Greenaway. of Wellington, the present Whenuapai station commander, will become Director of Postings and Personnel Service.
Group Captain W. H. Stratton, who recently returned to New Zealand after serving as head of the New Zealand joint services’ liaison staff in Australia for three years and a half, succeeds Group Captain S. G. Quill, of Wellington, as Group Captain Operations, at Royal New Zealand Air Force Headquarters. In this post he is responsible for air operation, flying training, air accidents investigation, and meteorological services. y Group Captain Quill will take over command of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station, Wigram, from Group Captain T. J. M. de Lange, who will become Director of Training at R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters.
