Boon Hay Women's Division.—

Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Hoon Hay branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers were:—President Mrs E. Edmond; vice-president, Miss L. Round; secretary, Mrs M. Treneary; treasurer, Mrs E. Rountree; advisory members, Mesdames E. Edmond, E. Keith; committee, Mesdames S. Taylor, E. Schorer. E. Boswell. I. Mackenzie. Miss E Thomas P.NJE.U.—Mr J. M Crawrord, senior lecturer in the physical education department of the Canterbury Education Board, gave a talk on the Holger-Nielsen and mouth-to-mouth methods of resuscitation at a recent meeting of the Selwyn House P.N.E.U. Mr Crawford also gave demonstrations.

Canterbury Women's Club.—A varied programme of entertainment was arranged for the recent meeting of the Canterbury Women’s Club literary circle Vocal solos were sung by Mrs Ngaire Wilson, accompanied by Mrs J. H. Cocks. Mrs C. Hunter, who was a guest at a women's club in Hawaii recently, read a collect that ' had been 'written by one el the Hawaii members, Virginia Ramsburg. Mrs JT. P. O'Sullivan spoke on the works of Shakespeare and read a number of extracts from his plays. Mrs H. P. Wise, who presided, referred to the death of a former president of the club, Mrs G- H. Watts.

Central Plonket Mathen’ A. Rose presided at the annual meeting of the Central Plunket Mothers’ Club and received a cheque for £llO on behalf of the Christchurch branch. The following officers were elected; patron, Mrs S. J. McLaughlan; chairman, Mrs W L. L. Taylor; vice-chairman, Mrs T. Reid; secretary, Mrs C. Seager; treasurer, Mrs H R Harris

Aranai Townswomen’s Guild,— The Dominion secretary of the Federation of Townswomen’s Guilds (Mrs R. H. Smith) was guest speaker at the recent annual meeting of the Aranui Townswomen’s Guild. Officers elected were:—President, Mrs J. Terras; secretary, Mrs W. Etherington; treasurer, Mrs F. Emmett; committee, Mesdames E. F. Aker, D. Bodger, E. Craythome, J. Dawson, A. Duthie, N. Galbraith, D. Howes, W. Keen and Kirkwood. Riccarton Townswomen’s Guild. —The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Riccarton Townswomen’s Guild recently:—President, Mrs J. Fowler; secretary, Mrs H. Weatherhead; treasurer, Mrs V Sansom; committee, Mesdames A. Black, V. Brundall, P. Edgington, G. Fisher, J. Hogg, M. Jacques, H. Powell, C. Patrick, C. Ross; gardening circle, Mesdames Fisher and Edgington; choir, Mrs A. Roger; civic circle, Mrs M. Jacques.
