“Everest Belongs To Nepal”
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) KATMANDU, April 9. Nepalese M.P.’s today cheered Government assurances that Nepal would not give up Mount Everest, which the Chinese laid claim to during the Nepalese Premier’s recent visit to Peking, British United Press reported. Two Ministers in the absence of the Premier, Mr Koirala, told the House that the issue would never be referred to the proposed joint boundary commission, which is to look into other minor boundary matters. They said that Everest indisputably belonged to Nepal.
