“POST” TRADING IN SYDNEY
Extension Proposed This Year The system of “post” trading, introduced on the Sydney Stock Exchange last year, had proved successful, the chairman, Mr A. H. Urquhart, said at the annual meeting of the exchange. The system would be extended when the exchange moved to its new headquarters in O’Connel street, probably in September, he said. Referring to the "enormous strides” of the Australian economy in the last 12 months, Mr Urquhart said if Australia pursued an even course, the future was unlimited. Overseas investors were always attracted by a growth stock in a growth country, he said.
