N.Z. Quotas Rise Slightly (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 27. New, slightly increased quotas for New Zealand's main exports to West Germany have been established under the trade agreement between the two countries, and the agreement has been extended by one year, until March 31. 1962 This was announced tonight by the Prime Minister (Mr Nash), who said it was the result of recent discussions in Bonn and London between the Acting-High Commissioner for New Zealand in London (Mr G. R. Laking) and representatives of the Federal Republic of Germany. The discussion had been provided for In the trade agreement signed in Bonn on April 20 last year. “Some slight increases on last year’s quota? have been secured for 1960-1961,” said Mr Nash, “and the initial term of the agreement has been extended by one year. “The opportunity was also taken to discuss other general questions on trade between the two countries. The discussions were carried out in a spirit of mutual understanding which was most gratifying,” he said.
