BLENHEIM ROAD LIGHTING

New Installations

Sought

The Riccarton Borough Council will ask the Ministry of Works to install new lighting in Blenheim road.

The Mayor (Mr E. J. Bradshaw), said last evening that in his view the road was poorly lighted. The present lighting was temporary, he said, and it was now time to approach the Ministry of Works.

Cr. V. G. Spiller said one resident summed up the situation well the other day when he asked: “When do you think we will have lights in Blenheim road?”

The council will also notify the Paparua and Waimairi County Councils of its decision and ask for their support, as the road also ran through their areas.
