CURRENT NOTES
Home Science Alumnae. — Members of the Christchurch branch of the Home Science Alumnae Association were shown over Princess Margaret Hospital after their recent annual meeting. Officers elected were:—President, Mrs M. Newman; secretary, Mrs G. S. Errington; immediate past president, Mrs J. L. Hunter; dietitians’ representative, Miss M. Till; teachers’ representatives, Mrs W. A. Warden, Miss N. Simpson; adult education, Miss J. Ferrier; home-makers, Mesdames J. C. Brown, J. R. Withington, M. Milner, J. T. Turner.
Business Women. — Miss S. Lilly, presided at a meeting of the Christchurch Federated Business and Professional Women’s Club last evening. She welcomed Miss M. Brown, of Invercargill, and three prospective members of the club. Miss E. Leader showed coloured slides on her visit to the west of Canada, the United States and Honolulu.
Otago High School Ex-Girls.— The following officers were elected at the recent annual meeting of the Otago High School ExGirls Association:—Patron. Mrs L. Adams; vice-patron, Miss C. B. Donaldson: honorary vice-patron, Miss S. Bayley; honorary vicepresidents, Miss M. Samuel and Mrs K. R. Patterson; president, Mrs H. E. H. Robinson; vicepresidents, Mesdames A. J. Gainsford, A. E. Taylor and J. Stanley; secretary, Mrs K. G. Smith; assistant secretary, Mrs J. Stanley;, treasurer, Mrs J. Mechen; committee, Mesdames P. De Nicolo, S. Halliwell, R. Steens, B. Young, P. Grant, A. Stubberfield, I. Fraser, Miss E. Mercer.
