Refunds Of Duty On Cars For Australia

Two Australian motor-car manufacturers will receive refunds of Customs duty totalling £580,000 as a result of the Tariff Board decision announced yesterday. The refunds are for duty paid on imported motor vehicle bodies. The British Motor Corporation (Australia) Pty., Ltd., will receive a refund of £245,000.

Volkwagen .(Australia) Pty. Ltd., and its subsidiary, Volks' wagen Distributors Pty., Ltd., wil] receive £335,000.
