Polo TWO WINS FOR QUEENSLAND

Poverty Bay Teams Beaten (New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, March 13. The Queensland touring polo team scored a double victory over Poverty Bay teams in matches at the Bushmere grounds yesterday. The visitors were too strong a combination for Poverty Bay B in a hard, fast game and won 10-1. Scorers for Queensland were M. Muller (3), D. Dollin (3), K. Telford (2), R. Bell (1) and D. McGinley, substitute, (1). The match against Poverty Bay A, which the tourists wop 7-3, was • more even than the score suggests. Queensland deserved victory by more constructive hitting and better finishing. Scorers for Queensland were R. Bell (3), and K. Telford (3). For Poverty Bay A. W. Sherratt (2) and M. Bull were the scorers.
