£8750 Damages For Watersider

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 4.

A Welington jury today awarded. Eric Duncan, aged 27, a waterside, £8750 general damages and £66 2s special damages for injuries received when he fell down a hold of the liner Monowai.

The case was heard before Mr Justice McCarthy and a jury. The plaintiff was represented by Dr. Q. C. Mazehgarb. Q.C., with him Mr L. Rose, and the defendant, the Union Steamship Company Ltd., by Mr J. C. White and Mr W. L. Allen.
