The central road in the foreground is Trafalgar road, and on the far side of the Maitai river bridge (middle of picture) is Trafalgar street, the city’s main thoroughfare. A ceremony to mark the start of construction of the NelsonBlenheim railway link with the South Island Main Trunk will be held in Nelson on March 1. The ceremony will be attended by the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) and the Minister of Works (Mr Watt).
