Fined for Assault.—Duncan Macßae, a seaman, was charged before Messrs A. B. P. Large, J.P., and A. W. Parmenter, J.P., in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court yesterday with having assaulted Miriama Carney. He pleaded guilty and was fined £lO. He was further ordered to pay Mrs Carney £2.
