CADUCEUS FOR U.S.

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, February 15. Caduceus, winner of the Inter-Dominion Championship at Harold Park, Sydniy, on Saturday, will race at Yonkers Raceway next June. The President of Yonkers Raceway, Mr M. Tananbaum, announced this in Sydney today. He said he thought Caduceus would be difficult to beat in the United States over a mile and a half, but it would be a “tight proposition’’ over a mile and a quarter. Sibelia will make the trip and the connexions of Fettle are considering sending the horse. The pacers will contest three races in June, Mr Tananbaum said. The races will be over a mile, one mile and a quarter, and one mile and a half, with stake money of 50,000 dollars each. The drivers of Caduceus and Sibelia also will go to Yonkers. The trainer-driver, J. D. Litten. will accompany Caduceus and M. Adams will go with Sibelia. It was announced earlier in the year that Sibelia would go to America for stud duties. Sibelia disputed favouritism in the Inter-Dominion with Caduceus, but the mare broke down before the opening heats. Caduceus will return to New Zealand and leave for the United States in April.
