UNCONSCIOUS IN BATH

Year-Old-Child Saved By Neighbour

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 15. Shane Moorby, aged one, of Devonport, was sleeping peacefully in the North Shore Hospital early this afternoon, but two hours before he had been found lying face down and unconscious in his bath. His mother had left him and his 2|-year-old brother for a minute. Mrs Elizabeth Moorby picked Shane up and rushed to the home of a neighbour, Mrs Ena McPike, who revived him by laying him on his stomach across her knee and rocking him backwards and forward. A doctor who arrived a few minutes afterwards said Mrs McPike’s action had saved the child’s life.
