American Tanks For N.Z. Army
(New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 12. The Minister of Defence (Mr Connolly) announced today the Government’s decision to buy 10 tanks from the United States. The new tanks—the M4l—will be part of the equipment of the armoured component of the Regular Brigade Group. It is hoped the tanks will arrive for the 1960-61 training period.
