Delegates Meet In Bangkok
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 7. Delegates from the eight member nations of the South-east Asia Treaty Organisation are meeting in Bangkok under the chairmanship of Brigadier L. W. Thornton, of New Zealand, who is chief of the S.E.A.T.O. Military Planning Office. A news release from the S.E.A.TO. Public Information Bureau says the conference is the third in a series of logistics meetings to enable members to study problems commanders may face in the field. It is expected that the meeting v ill last about another week, during which committee members will be given the opportunity to see some of the up-country terrain over which supply lines would have to pass.
