Floral Procession

Sir,—lt is to my mind a poor spirit for the Christchurch Drainage Board to decide not to enter a float in the forthcoming floral procession. The board has the vehicles and without much cost I feel sure many of the staff would be quite willing and capable of entering a suitable float. May we hope for a deserved success for the procession and trust that other local bodies will not take such a niggardly attitude.— Yours, etc., B. O’CONNOR. January 24, 1960.
