Scratching Of Sparkler

(New Zeaiana Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 25.

Sparkler was scratched this morning for the Summer Handicap, the first leg of the double at Trentham today. It is believed that he struck himself below the hock in his paddock during the night. The injury was not considered serious. Sparkler missed racing at the Wellington Cup meeting last year through a similar Incident.
