Sales Crowd Marks Memory (From tfiDh KeTMrteT) WELLINGTON, January 19. Mr T. C. Lowry, president of the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, to-day paid a tribute to the services of the late Mr Ken Austin to the thoroughbred industry. Mr Austin, proprietor of the Inglewood Stud at Kaiapoi, died last month. Mr Lowry spoke before selling started on the first day of the 34th National Sale of yearlings and a big crowd stood for a moment as a mark of respect to Mr Austin’s memory. It was announced to-day that Mr and Mrs R. E. Adair, who own the Montana Stud at Oxford, have purchased the Inglewood Stud land and buildings. The dispersal sale of the Inglewood stock will be held next month.
