Survey Of Lagoon At Cliathams

WELLINGTON, January 19

It will be several days before preparation of a landing area for seaplanes at the Chatham Islands is completed. A Ministry of Works team is working on an area at Waitangi Lagoon. When its work is completed the area will be inspected by Civil Aviation Administration officials.

It was reported today that work at the lagoon had been held up through bad weather.
