Investigation of size control of peaches and apricots through a study of fruit growth and development. Investgiation of nematode diseases of peaches and apricots and their possible interaction with “Blackheart” and “Crown Gall” diseases. Applications are also invited for a Post-Graduate Studentship in the Department of Plant Pathology to undertake the following research project: Investigation of “Fusarium w<lt” and “Black Spot” diseases of peas. The investigatons have been made possible through financial assistance from the Stone Fruit and Pea Industries and the Studentships will carry a living allowance up to £7OO p.a. depending on age and experience. They will be under the direct supervision of the Head of the appropriate Department from whom further particulars can be obtained.
