EARTHQUAKE IN PERU

Death Toll Now Set At 38 (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LIMA (Peru), January 14. The death toll in the minutelong earthquake which yesterday devastated the city of Arequipa was set officially at 38, today. The Peruvian Red Cross, which has been directing all relief activities in the stricken zone, said only 28 bodies had been identified. It placed the toll of injured at more than 200.
