Oil-Gas Found In Victoria
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, January 12. The discovery of “petroliferous” flow-gas by the FromeBroken Hill Company, near Port Campbell, in south-west Victoria, was one of the most significant oil-gas discoveries in Australia, the chief geologist (Dr. D. E. Thomas) said last night. The possibility of a nearby oil source could not be precluded. Dr. Thomas added.
