Munro Going To Arabia
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, January 11. Sir Leslie Munro, of New Zealand, has accepted an invitation to visit Saudi Arabia as a private citizen, it was learned today. The invitation was extended by the Saudi Arabian Government.
Lady Munro will accompany her husband, a former President of the United Nations General Assembly who now is the Assembly’s special representative on the Hungarian problem. Sir Leslie Munro will confer in London with the British Foreign Secretary (Mr Selwyn Lloyd) on January 20 on his way to the Middle East. News of this visit began speculation at the United Nations that Sir Leslie Munro might have a role in seeking to resolve differences between Britain and Saudi Arabia which have prevented the resumption of diplomatic relations between these nations.
