Bevan “Maintains Progress”
(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 11. Mr Aneurin Bevan, the 62-year-old deputy leader of the British Labour Party, today made further progress in his recovery from a major abdominal operation performed at the end of last month.
Mr Bevan suffered a slight setback on Friday night but was yesterday reported to be improving again. A medical bulletin issued tonight said “progress has been maintained.’’
