Total So Far A Record

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 10. Still with this month remaining before the 1959-60 issue of health stamps are withdrawn from sale, a record for money collected from the sale of stamps has been established. Sales since the campaign opened in September have realised £149,006 —£1649 more than the previous record of £147,357 established in the 195859 campaign, and £7825 more than over a comparable period last year. The total sales to December 31 last in each postal district, supplied by the Post Office, Wellington, are as follows (last year’s figures over a comparable period are given in parenthesis):— Auckland £24,364 (£21,628).
