Apartheid In Boxing
(Rec. 8 p.m.) PRETORIA, January 9. South Africa has extended apartheid to the boxing ring, American Associated Press reported today.
Regulations published yesterday in the Government Gazette ban fights between whites and non-whites. They also prohibit white people from acting as promoters, managers, seconds, or advisers, and from having any indirect interest, in non-white boxing events.
