Situation.—An anti-cyclone centred far to the south-east of the South Island extends over New Zealand. Forecast: Marlborough and Nelson.—Light to moderate variable winds; weather fair to cloudy, with moderate to mild temperatures. Outlook: little change. West Coast.—Light to moderate variable winds; fair in the north; mainly cloudy in the south; cool night, but mild day temperatures. Outlook: increasing cloud in South Westland, with occasional light rain elsewhere. Canterbury.—Light to moderate winds, mainly from an easterly quarter; some cloudy areas with patches of light drizzle in the morning about the coast, otherwise weather fair or fine, with moderate to mild temperatures. Outlook: fair to cloudy.
