BIDS FOR CROSSE AND BLACKWELL
(N.Z Press Association— Lopyngtit) LONDON, December 17. Fisons, Ltd., the fertiliser group, last night made a bid of 82s a share for Crosse and Blackwell, foodstuff manufacturers.. It exceeds by 10s a recent bid made by Nestles, The Nestles bid, made by the Swiss parent firm (Nestles Alimentarta), amounted to £9,700,000. Fisons are bidding £1.350,000 more—a total of £11.050,000.
