Directors’ Appeal Dismissed

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 18. The Court of Appeal in a reserved judgment given this morning dismissed an appeal by Robert Leslie, Edgar Goulden, Harold Edward Taylor. Bertie Fitzgerald Barton Webster, • and Charles John McParland against a decision given by Mr Justice Shorland at Wellington on April 16, 1959, wherein his Honour awarded Ralph Vincent' Jones £3OO and costs for defamatory statements made about him by the appellants in a circular issued by them. The appellants were directors of a company known as Photo Finishes (A’Asia), Ltd., and Jones was for " a substantial period the secretary of the company.
