Chessman To File Petition

Press Association —Copyright) SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 16 Carryl Chessman’s lawyer said yesterday he would file a petition asking the United States Supreme Court to reconsider its rejection of the convicted kidnaprapist’s appeal for a new trial. The Court gave no reason for its rejection of Chessman’s appeal on Monday. Chessman has appealed unsuccessfully 11 times against his death sentence.
