BEACH PATROLS APPOINTED
Beach patrolmen for the forthcoming school holidays were appointed by the Canterbury Surf Life-saving Association at the week-end. Their duties will commence on Monday, December 21, and will, apart from public holidays and week-ends, when the beaches will be patrolled by club members, finish at the end of January. The appointments are as follows:—Taylors Mistake, T. Graham, three weeks; Sumner, R. Willyams, six weeks; South Brighton, B. S Robertson, three weeks; New _ Brighton, R. Claxton, six weeks; ■ North Beach, R. Ironsides, six f weeks; Waimairi, D. Stewart, first *. three weeks, B. Robertson, second three weeks.
