“APPARENT SPLIT” IN F.O.L.

Union’s Reason For Not Affiliating

(Keto Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 13. The annual conference of the Auckland Labourers’ Union decided not to affiliate with the Federation of Labour “in the meantime.” The secretary, Mr H. Kay. said yesterday that the decision had been made because of the “apparent split” in the federaunion might review the position in a year or so.

Mr Neary said an attempt was now being made to make it appear that he was attacking the Federation of Labour. Mr F. P. Walsh was sued in his capacity of ‘‘company director,” not as president of the Wellington Trades Council or of the Federation of Labour.

Mr Neary said his detractors should be required to face the consequences of the action he had felt obliged to take. The leaflet sets out the eight questions asked of the jury and the jury’s answers.
