Man Found Dead, Pinned By Car

(Aew Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, Dec. 10. A man was killed when his car ran on to him at the Glenvale vineyards, Bay View, last night. He was: Alan Charles Kerie. aged 25, a vineyard employee, of Tangoio. Mr Kerie was married with four children. His body, pinned by the front right wheel of his car, was found about 7.30 a.m. today. Mr Kerie was visiting his brother at the vineyard shortly before the accident occurred. The police believe that he got out of his car to try to find out why it would not run down a grade, and when he was under the car it ran forward on to him. He was pinned by the shoulders and neck.
