Dormitory Fire At Orphanage
(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 10.
Flames swept through an unoccupied building of the Mount Loretto orphanage on Staten Island early today.
About 55 boys from a nearby dormitory were evacuated as a precaution. There were no casualties.
The orphanage is a collection of buildings on farm land on the far southern corner of the island, across New York Bay from Manhattan and Long Island.
