Caravan Club Rally
One hundred persons with 42 caravans attended the Christmas rally of the Automobile Association Caravan Club, last week-end at the property of Mr R. Shearer, Gasnevin. Father Christmas distributed toys to about 60 children and carols were sung on the evening of the first day. The following day Mr Shearer led a party on a tour of inspection of his irrigation works. The rally concluded with an open air community afternoon tea at which a large three tier Christmas cake was cut and handed round.
