Promising Colt Dies

u The Press* Special Service MATAMATA, December 7. The promising two-year-old Shinnoch has died. He was a full brother to Supertax and was trained at Pukekohe by T. C. Alcock. This is the third stroke of ill luck the stable has suffered, as Clandeboye was killed in training recently and the stable apprentice D. Foley broke a collarbone at Dargaville. Foley is now home and making good progress. i Shinnoch was taken to the

Hastings spring meeting for ex-1 perience with other members of the team, including Clandeboye, which won a mile hack race impressively. On his return Shinnoch showed rare promise in gallops but it was thought he would be better kept until a three-year-old. He was put out of training and although; apparently in great heart wasi found dead on Friday morning. '
