N.Z. Jockey Wins At Flemington

The New Zealand jockey, Keith Nuttall, due to leave for home tomorrow foi the rich Dominion holiday races, landed a plunge on Shamash at 20/1 at Flemington yesterday
Backed at one stage from 5/10 to 16/1, Shamash won the Longchamps Handicap from the 11/8 favourite. Worthing, in a photo finish. Third, a neck away, was the rank outsider. Big Hydro (66/1). - Nuttall said after the race he would go home by air tomorrow. He has a chance of the ride in the Auckland Cup on Sparkler, and also on Ricardo, one of the most fancied runners in the Railway Handicap. He said he would possibly return to Australia before the autumn.
