WOMAN FATALLY INJURED

A woman pedestrian was fatally injured when she was struck by a car in Papanui road, just south of Weston road, about 6.55 p.m. yesterday. She was: Miss Edith Billson, aged about 50, of 52 Knowles street.

The car was driven by Rudi Bernhard Jansen, aged 19, a schoolboy, of 11 Richards avenue, who was travelling south. Miss Billson was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital, but died soon after her admission.
