Big Diamond For Shah’s Bride

The Shah of Persia tonight placed a ring with a large, squarecut diamond on the third finger,, left hand, of Miss Farah Diba, a 21-year-old Persian girl, at a ceremony marking their official engagement, according to the British United Press. The wedding is expected to take place about December 21. From the moment of the formal ceremony, Miss Diba is considered virtually Queen of Persia. Between now and the date.of the wedding she is expected to spend most of her time with the Shah, planning the wedding and visiting the countryside. Last week-end, Miss Diba returned from Paris, where she ordered her wedding trousseau and other clothes.
