A. notice in the Gazette provides for the deregistration of the Grocers’ Assistants’ Union on December 21. After that further steps will be taken by the Shop Assistants’ Union to complete the merger. The present strength of the Grocers’ Assistants’ Union was about 650, which would bring the total strength of the Shop Assistants’ Union to more than 4000, said the secretary of the latter union (Mr P.'<M.
