OFFICIAL OPENING OF MEMORIAL AVENUE PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Memorial avenue will be officially opened by His Excellency The Governor General The Viscount Cobham, G.C.M-G., T.D., on Thursday, November 26, 1959, at 2.15 p.m. , A cordial invitation is extended to all members of the public to be present at this ceremony which will be held at the corner of Memorial avenue and Greers road. Private cars may be parked on the Greers road frontage of Jellie Park, and areas on the Burnside Road High School grounds will be set aside for the public and school children. As Memorial avenue between Ham road and Russley road will be closed between the hours of 1.30 and 3.30 p.m., motorists should travel. via Clyde road to Greers road, or along Greers road from the north to the car park which is on the east side of Memorial avenue. FORMS of application and particulars of conditions may now be obtained from the DirectorGenral of Health, Wellington, for bursaries available to students undertaking the course for the degree of M. 8., Ch.B., or of B.D.S. in the University of New Zealand. Applications on the form provided close December 1 with Director-General of Health. Wellington. The medical bursary is of a value of £7O and the dental bursary £BO. In addition tuition fees are paid, plus a boarding allowance of £5O p.a. where the bursar is obliged to live away from home. Bursaries are not granted as of right but after consideration of all relevant circumstances, and in particular the financial circumstances, and academic qualifications of applicants will be taken into consideration when awarding bursaries, and preference will be given to candidates not more than 21 years of age. 3190 COUNTY OF KOWAL NOTIFICATION TO CLEAR NOXIOUS WEEDS.
