Cold Outaide.— A Chinese appealing against a sentence of eight months’ gaol for possession of drugs, produced a novel plea. He told the Appeal Court that the Magistrate who sentenced him had overlooked the fact it would be winter when he was released, and he had no warm clothing to wear. The Judge recommended that he try to get help from welfare organisations—in eight months' time.—Hong Kong.
