Badminton Hall

The site for the Canterbury Badminton Association’s new hall in Cuthbert’s Green has been levelled and pegged, according to information given by Cr. W. J. Cowles at a meeting of the City Council recently Cr. Cowles who has taken a particular interest in this project, said that work on the foundations of this stadium would commence immediately, and it was hoped that it would be completed in time for use next season. Also at Cuthbert’s Green will be the new all-sports stadium, another of Cr. Cowles’s projects. The site for this stadium is being prepared and, when the type of building has been decided upon, work will commence at once.
