January Meeting Tinies

A recommendation that the Canterbury Park Trotting Club reconsider starting the first races at its meeting on January 1 and 2 at 1.30 p.m. and start not later than mid-day was passed at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Trotting Owners’ and Breeders’ Association last evening. Members felt that the club could reduce the time between races at the meeting and still finish in reasonable time for trainers travelling long distances to get home reasonably early.
