AIRPORT AT MANGERE

New Appeal To , Mr Nash (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 13. The Mayor of Auckland (Mr Ki N. Buttle) will make a new, immediate appeal to the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) for the Government to reconsider its attitude on Conditions of ccst-sharing for the proposed airport at Mangere. A letter from Mr Buttle will await Mr Nash on his return from overseas. The appeal will be for a definite ceiling of £2.25 million as the Auckland local bodies’ share and for an assurance that when the extension of the proposed 6500 ft runway to international standard is required, it will be the sale responsibility of the Government.
