He was privately timed to take 27 3-ssec for Mt final two furlongs, the final halfmile taking 59sec. Another brilliant ebplay of speed was returned by the backmarker, Recruit, which could do no better than sixth in tef Dominion Handicap. , Meertft started from 44 yards and be was privately timed to taka 4Mtk 14 l-ssee for his two mUae. M trotted his first quarter in Jbte, half-mile in Imln teee, six furlongs in imln 32 S-Swc, anile M 2mln 4 2-ioec, mile and a janjljf in 2mln 35 3-taec, and mile ba4 a half in 3min 7 4-Ssee.
